This project deals with enlarging and transfering texture details of abstract paintings into sculptural monochrome reliefs.
My 3D scans collection of abstract painting details from world-famous museums served as the basis for my work.
Czech sculptor Michal Gabriel about the project:
"Enchanted by the shape of the strokes of abstract painting, Pavla began to collect individual manuscripts or rather textures of paintings that caught her eye. She scanned these details directly in museums.
The cycle of four reliefs consists of detailed painting enlargements by four artists. The choice of paintings was intuitive and very much depended on how they affected Pavla in direct contact."
