OURSELVES

In the summer of 2013, I curated a an exhibition project as part of the "Summer on Yunost" festival, which was located in Kyiv on the site of the former Yunost Factory. 

It was a challenge for me to gather young and promising artists who were starting out at the time and unite them in one place, not by a concept, topic, technique or other template, but by the space. The idea was to bet on the artists' personalities, their approach to their work, their way of thinking and their desire to work together. Select artists had one month to do an exhibition together and many did the work right on the spot.

I wanted to prove that there are many capable artists among young people who are worthy of attention and can make an exhibition on their own. And we did it together, because the project was created locally and everyone was actively involved. The participants were from 15 to 22 years old.
